MACBETH (November 2021)

Inkblot Theater Co.'s first live production, MACBETH, premiered November 11th-17th in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. The performance took place in the Vale of Cashmere, an old, wooded section of the park with once-active rose gardens, now more than a century old.

Lit with flashlights and shrouded in shadows, we explored how stories, hundreds of years old and now, ask the same question: what are you willing to do in the dark?

The production centered around a group of just six actors, friends who gathered in the woods to cause mayhem by telling the story of Macbeth. Audience members were provided with cocoa and hand warmers, and encouraged to bundle up for a true campfire ghost story experience. With audiences kept small, a true Macbeth immersive experience unfolded in the woods.

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES (April 2021)

In the spring of 2021, Inkblot Theater Co. made its performance debut with a four-part audio play of Anne of Green Gables, adapted by co-founder Elizabeth Robbins and directed by Kamal Sehrawy and co-founder Emily Jackoway.

The cast featured actors across 11 different states, all rehearsing and recording remotely to create art during the pandemic. The series can still be heard for free on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Anchor, Google Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

10% of production proceeds were donated to Read 718, a Brooklyn organization that promotes children's literacy in underprivileged communities.
